Today, I’m very pleased to say that the audio version of “Wait” is finally available. If you’re interested in the story behind this song, CLICK HERE. Otherwise, please continue on. :-)
As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog post, God impressed on my heart the word “wait” as my word for last year. It seems only fitting that since this song is titled “Wait”, that it would be the first song this year to get me back in the saddle again with arranging. Although this song was written years ago and wasn’t written because of last year’s word, this song sums up my past year. Lots of waiting. Lots of praying. Lots of crying. I wish I could tell you that I was a perfect angel while I waited last year. I wasn’t. I even threw my Bible across the room one day! Talk about a bad attitude. I digress…
I had some trouble with this song, technically (and spiritually, obviously). I haven’t arranged and done all that fancy production stuff for years. I’ve just stuck to two-laners (one instrument track and one vocal track), which are really simple and easy to do. When you start adding in more tracks, it begins to get more complicated. Not to mention I’m still learning the new recording program we got last year. So…this didn’t turn out exactly how I’d hoped (even though it’s a fairly simple recording), but I decided it was good enough for now and frankly, I was tired of waiting to post this song myself! :-P
So here it is! Yay!
Remember, if you want to download the song, just right click the track above and you should be good to go! It’s free and easy.
Any guesses on my word for this new year? I’ll be sharing that with you all next week! Until then, may your hearts and eyes be turned to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. The work He is doing in each of us is worth waiting for! God bless you!! ” :-)
All glory to Jesus,
